THE PURPOSE OF BIRDS
Practically speaking, in order to sustain life on Earth and to form the shortest food chain only three living creatures are needed. Judge for yourselves: a fish swallows a worm, man eats the fish, and then feeds the worm. Not the one which has already been swallowed by fish, of course, but its next of kin. The question is: “What do we need birds for?” – “For diversity of menu,” – a pragmatist would say licking his lips. And what do you think?
