MADONNA AND FUNGI
Cordyceps unilateralis is a parasitic fungus making ants and some other species of insects obey its ‘orders’, turning them into weak-willed wretched zombies. First, the spores of the fungus germinate inside the body of a victim, forcing it to find the best place for the reproduction of the parasite. Then the insect dies, and out of its head a new fungus grows showering its spores on future victims. The question arises: what does this have with a charming girl sitting on the TV screen?
